Mendoza

Mendoza is located in the west of Argentina. It is the most important city of the region of Cuyo and it is the capital city of the province. It is famous for its Aconcagua mountain, for its Malbec wines and for being the cradle of the heroic deed of the Liberator General San Martín, hero of the nation. It is one of the most beautiful cities of the country.

Located at the foot of the Andes, it makes an incredible oasis created by the man thanks to Mendoza and Tunuyán rivers, which have been wisely canalized with irrigation ditches, thus making an immense irrigation network.

The Wine Route is the greatest attraction of the province, but nature surprises you with all kinds of adventure activities and mountain sports. Mendoza will always be the land of good sun and good wine.

High Mountain

Salta

Salta is located in the northwest of Argentina. It is the capital of the province bearing the same name. It is at the east of the Andes, in the fertile Lerma Valley, 1,187 meters above sea level, situated on both banks of Arenales river, which divides the city into center-north and south. The urban area has expanded up to neighbor localities, making up the so-called Greater Salta.

The city of Salta is characterized by its markedly Hispanic architecture. Its urban profile is delineated by one story houses, with narrow streets and sidewalks, enclosed by the green and brown color of surrounding hills.

With a tour around this city, you will discover museums, churches and large houses built in colonial times. Salta «La Linda» («The Beautiful», as it has been nicknamed) dazzles for its history, its landscapes and its cuisine.

The Train to the Clouds leaves from the railway station of the capital of Salta. After crossing Arenales river, which divides the city in two, it arrives to Alvarado station, named after one of the main captains of General Belgrano in his fight for independence. Cerrillos is a few kilometers away, and further on you will see Rosario de Lerma.

The way begins in Cerrillos, El Carril, Pulares, Quebrada de Escoipe, Cuesta del Obispo at 3,348 meters above sea level. The road has many curves that allow enjoying a panoramic view of Valle Encantado and of small houses with fruit and corn crops. At the highest peak of this hill there is a stone of an ancient mill. Nobody knows how it got stuck there. In the town of Cachi you will visit the Museum of Archeology and the Church.

Valle de Río Negro & Neuquén

Río Negro and Neuquén Valley is located at the north of the Argentine Patagonia. It is a productive oasis in the middle of the steppe. It is ranked as the main apple and pear grower, and during the last years, it has also made wines of excellent quality.

The countryside allows appreciating a transition from the green color of the cultivated fields and the gardens in bloom to sparse, xerophilous vegetation towards the south of the region, where you enter the wild nature of the strictly speaking Patagonia, with its poor watercourses and the magnificence of its view.

Cities such as Neuquén, Cipolletti and General Roca are booming urban centers that have incorporated important technological and cultural advances during the last decades.

Buenos Aires

The city of Buenos Aires is the capital of the Republic of Argentina. It is located in the center-east region of the country, on the west bank of Río de la Plata, right on the Pampas plain. The city is divided into 48 neighborhoods, the oldest ones coming from the parishes established in the 19th century. The metropolis is an autonomous city that is part of one of the 24 districts in which the country is divided into.
